I moved to St. Louis a year after a Ferguson police officer killed 18-year-old Mike Brown, sparking an uprising that led to global outcry and a national movement for Black lives. In the years that followed, I documented vigils and protests across the region — because even though most cameras left, the people did not stop fighting. For racial equality, for criminal justice reform, for political power and always, always, always for Mike Brown.
