I moved to St. Louis a year after a Ferguson police officer killed 18-year-old Mike Brown, sparking an uprising that led to global outcry and a national movement for Black lives.

In the years that followed, I documented vigils and protests across the region — because even though most cameras left, people did not stop fighting for racial equality and criminal justice reform.

Some of this work was exhibited at Photoville in New York when I was selected as one of “30 Photographers to Watch” by the Authority Collective, in partnership with Diversify.Photo.
